AVONDALE — The Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy (TJCA) varsity baseball team earned an 11-0 victory over The Master’s Academy on Friday evening.
Kagan Boswell pitched a five-inning complete-game shutout, striking out four batters and allowing just five hits.
At the dish, Brayden Gilling had two knocks, Joseph Chapman had two hits and scored two runs and Jace Gibbon posted three hits and scored two runs.
The Gryphons return to action on Tuesday at Highland Tech.
The TJCA track and field team picked up a pair of wins at a meet held at Owen High School last week. Both the boys and girls teams finished first overall.
